Sven Herrmann-Padditz

Sven Herrmann-Padditz
(born 1970 in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany)

Sven Herrmann-Padditz is a German artist whose body of work includes sculptures, sculpture furniture and wall installations made of tiny pieces of steel, steel nails, copper and brass. His craft is self-taught, and each design is unique and the result of deep study and uncompromised precision. At the focus of Sven’s work are the dynamics and changing relationships of geometric figures, textures and materials. “The structures I design seem solid and bold at first but are actually airy and very emotional.” His current work further evolved from the geometry of figures to the geometry of the human body.

Sven joined Ralph Pucci in 2007. He is based in Berlin and New York.
